• Use the mark on your website and socials as a WestSide member
• Print on merchandise, signage and physical materials for your business
• Use commercially — this is a CC licence, commercial use permitted
• If you're a graffiti artist — full licence, no restrictions, go for it

• Use the mark to imply WestSide endorses something we haven't agreed to
• Alter the logo colours, proportions or design
• Use the mark in ways that contradict WestSide's community values
• Claim ownership or re-register the mark as your own

This licence applies to all current WestSide members and to media outlets covering WestSide or Heretaunga Street West. It covers the WestSide W mark, wordmark, badge and all assets in this kit.

You may use these assets for commercial and non-commercial purposes — on websites, social media, signage, merchandise, editorial coverage and print. This is consistent with a Creative Commons Attribution licence (CC BY). You don't need to ask permission for standard member use.

Where practical, please credit "WestSide Hastings City" when using the mark in editorial or third-party contexts. You don't need to credit the artist on every use — but if you're printing or publishing the mark prominently, a mention of MintFace is always appreciated.

WestSide reserves the right to revoke usage rights where the mark is used in a way that contradicts the values of the WestSide community — including uses that are discriminatory, misleading, or damaging to the precinct's reputation. This is not a legal threat — it's a community standard.

Full unrestricted licence. Use it however you like, wherever you like. The W was made for the streets.

Don't alter the logo. Don't recolour it, stretch it, rotate it, or add effects. The approved versions are in this kit — use those. If you need a format we haven't provided, get in touch.

If your membership lapses, please remove the WestSide badge from your website within 30 days. You're always welcome to rejoin.
